There's plenty of fun and entertainment for all the kids, whatever their age.
Here are just a selection of some of the local attractions and activities. Most have their own website. So just click the 'more information' button so you can see full details for yourself. Leaflets are available at the site reception
Musee-Parc des Dinosaures
Situated just off the A9 near Meze, east of Montpellier this park reconstructs life on earth during the reign of the dinosaurs. A five hectare park with the largest dinosaur egg collection in the world, a collection of 30 dinosaur fossils and actual size reconstructions of some of the most well known dinosaurs.
Grotte des Demoiselles.
Known as the fairies cave this magnificent geological feature is situated near Ganges around 25 miles north of Montpellier. Venture under ground into this subterranean cathedral, where the ceiling reaches some 50 m overhead. Take a guided tram tour of the caves - other features include a bar and glacier.
Vegapolis
Situated just 20 minutes from the site this glacial water park is situated at the Odysseum on the southern outskirts of Montpellier – This is also the best tram stop to get into the heart of Montpellier – Featuring slides, toboggans and a 3200m2 ice pool. With live DJ’s and light show.
Aquatropic Le Parc
This water park is situated just off the A9 West of Nîmes about 30 minutes from the site and features 25000m2 of water filled basins, pools, slides, toboggans, spas, jacuzzis and more. There is a snack bar and restaurant and it is open 7 days per week in the summer.
The Outsider
Situated near Ganges just North of Montpellier this outdoor adventure site features: rock climbing, cycling, orienteering, canoeing, rope slide canyoning and walk ways in the trees.
Canoe and Kayak Montana
Take a canoe or kayak trip through the gorges of L’Herault. For all ages and party sizes up to 19 places. Open from April to October this site is at St Bauzille North of Montpellier and has a picnic area and a free shuttle bus back to your starting point !
Le Petit Paradis
Open all year round this farm animal park is ideal for the younger child. Farm animals live and run free in this landscaped park – also available: rowing boat trips, children’s games, water sprayers and a picnic area with bar and snack restaurant.
Planetarium Galilée, Montpellier
Travel through the universe from the comfort of your armchair.
Spectacular scenes of Mars, other galaxies and out into infinite space on a 15m screen This is situated at Odysseum just south of Montpellier.
Canoe – Rivières de France
Canoes and Kayaks on 11 rivers, 62 routes over 700 km. Most within easy reach of the site. If you like to get out on the river try any one of these. All equipment is provided as well as a welcome return trip.
Chateau des Baux
Travel back a 1000 years in time at this seven hectare medieval adventure park. Discover the history of Provence: the castle, the giant siege machines, the museum, take a guided tour with your own personal hand held English audio guide. This park is at Les Baux-de-Provence near Arles.
