by air
Montpellier Airport is just 15mins drive to Le Lac des Rêves and Ryanair and easyJet operate flights from various UK airports.
Nîmes Airport is a little further away - 35mins drive - Ryanair also fly here.
Hiring a car at the airport - pre-booking recommended - allows you to make the tranfer to the site easily and provides a means of exploring the area during your visit.
by road
The are many routes across the Channel and your choice will depend very much on which is the most convenient Channel Terminal for you to reach.
Once in France the road journey is quite a long one. The French Autoroute system generally allows fairly free movement of traffic - but jams are still possible, just like on our own motorways. Tolls are payable. From the links page, go to the Autoroute site for detailed itinerary and information on tolls.
You will probably want to consider an overnight stop and there is a wide range of types of accommodation available from economy to 5-star.
